The central argument is that the US is the destabilizing force in Asia, and that countries, like Japan, would behave differently without the US in the shadows.<br /><br />In my opinion, we are witnessing the decline of American hegemony and the rise of a new multi-polar World. Meanwhile, US military spending continues to dwarf all others.
